Who You Will Actually Deal With
An ODM order is a group of people making judgement calls on your product. These are the three groups that decide what happens to your order, and what each one is accountable for.
Shenzhen Youwang Plastic & Electronics Co., Ltd. employs around 200 people at its 5,000 m² plant in Shenzhen's Bao'an District. Your order is handled by three accountable groups: a sales and project team that owns configuration, sampling and the production schedule; an electronics and firmware engineering group that owns the control boards, the white-label app and the radio compliance files; and a quality and compliance group that owns per-unit testing and the certification and transport documentation archive. There are no separate account managers between you and these groups.
Sales & Project Team
Configuration, sampling and order tracking
Each private-label order is handled by a named project contact who owns the configuration sheet, the sampling round and the production schedule. Quotations are answered within 1 working day, and the same contact follows the order through to shipment documents.
Electronics & Firmware Engineering
SMT process, radio modules, white-label app
The engineering group designs and maintains the control and radio boards used across the vacuum, scrubber and fountain platforms, working with the 8 in-house SMT lines. They own the white-label WiFi app configuration, Alexa and Google Assistant integration and per-market radio compliance files.
Quality & Compliance
Per-unit testing, batch sampling, documentation
The quality group runs per-unit functional testing (suction, torque, leaks, sensors, charging, pairing) on the assembly lines, batch ageing and drop sampling before packing, and maintains the compliance and transport documentation archive per product family and battery configuration.
Milestones on the record
Capability claims become checkable when they are anchored to events: a plant that runs its own SMT lines and its own injection machines has a different depth from one that assembles bought-in boards, and the sequence in which those capabilities were added says more than a capability list without dates.
- Founding Shenzhen plant established The company was established in Shenzhen's Bao'an District as a plastics and electronics manufacturer, combining injection moulding with electronics assembly from the start.
- SMT expansion In-house electronics built out The SMT workshop grew to 8 fully automatic lines — 7 Yamaha YSM20R placers and a Siemens HS60 line — with AOI, SPI and X-ray inspection and a COB bonding line.
- Appliance platforms Cleaning appliance platform families launched The D2/D3, V2G, V2L, V6, V8 and V9 robot vacuum platforms, the G-series spin scrubbers, the CG2 car vacuum and the P002/M04/P006 pet fountain platforms were established as configurable ODM families.
- Today 600,000+ units a year, 90% of components made in-house More than 200 staff across a 5,000+ m² three-storey plant produce over 600,000 units a year, with roughly 90% of each product's components manufactured in-house and export programmes across North America, the EU, the UK, Japan and Southeast Asia.
How decisions get made
One contact owns your order
The quotation, the sampling rounds and the shipment documents are handled by the same project contact, so configuration decisions do not get lost between departments or re-explained at every step.
Engineering answers before quoting
Questions about radio modules, app white-labelling or battery configuration are answered by the engineering group during quoting, not after the PO. If a request needs a different process, you hear it before sampling.
Bad news travels early
If a certification file is missing for a target market, or a battery configuration needs new transport documents, the sales team says so at quotation — before money is committed, not when the forwarder asks for paperwork.
